We’re getting closer and closer to Peter Sutherland’s next mission taking off in The Night Agent season 4, and more details are starting to emerge about the Netflix hit’s next chapter. While most details about the highly anticipated new season are mostly under wraps, the season 4 cast has recently grown with familiar faces to further fill in the gaps of Peter’s life and work.
Following the premiere of The Night Agent season 3 in February 2026, Netflix quickly renewed the hit spy thriller for a fourth season, which will bring about some big changes. Not only will the season take place in Los Angeles, but Peter’s mission will find him welcoming a new partner by his side. Trust has always been an issue for Peter, and he’s also tragically lost a partner, too.
However, we have a new look at how could be playing Peter’s partner in The Night Agent season 4 as well as a few other new characters that will build out his world even more. According to Deadline, Titus Welliver, Trevante Rhodes, Li Jun Li, and Elizabeth Lail have all joined the case as series regulars, and while details haven’t be revealed just yet, the outlet teases who they could be playing.
Official descriptions for the new cast members have been announced by Netflix as of this writing, but Bosch star Titus Welliver is expected to play Duval, a special DOJ prosecutor. Without reading too much into that tiny description, doesn’t it sound like he could possibly be someone Peter’s supposed to initially have on his side but ultimately turns on him? Let’s just say we have our eyes on him.
Moonlight and Mea Culpa star Trevante Rhodes will reportedly be by Peter’s side as his new partner Dom, though additional information about the character isn’t known. However, Li Jun Li is rumored to be starring as Dom’s wife Min. If the wife of Peter’s partner is part of the main cast for season 4, that means that she will be playing a big part in the story, which could be a good or bad thing on this show!
Last but certainly not least, this batch of cast additions to The Night Agent season 4 concludes with You and Five Night’s at Freddy’s star Elizabeth Lail, who Deadline suggests will be playing Peter’s ex-fiancée Zoe. In case you forgot, Peter previously mentioned his ex in the first season of the series, but she hasn’t ever appeared or really been spoken about again.
While Peter has been excavating his relationship to his parents in the past few seasons, with his reflections on his late mother being a recurring theme in season 3, the one part of his past that hasn’t been mined is his former flame. With Rose still in the past for the foreseeable future, it’s only fitting that Zoe comes back into his life in some form in the fourth season.
Netflix hasn’t shared plot details about the new season, but The Night Agent season 4 is planned to begin filming in early May 2026 in Los Angeles and wrap by the end of September for a release sometime next year. As filming begins, Netflix will surely share details about the new characters and more casting updates. Stay tuned for the latest on the new season!
