Every month as Netflix welcomes new additions to its collection, the streaming service also bids farewell to a handful of films and shows. May will be no different, though I will admit that there aren’t too many titles being removed from Netflix this month compared to the lists we’ve seen in past months when dozens of titles are removed.
In total, Netflix will be removing 22 titles across the month of May, with the most notable removals being various classic films. This includes a number of beloved family titles, so if you’re in need of a reason for a movie night, the removal of these classics is more than enough!
On May 1, Netflix will be removing the first two How to Train Your Dragon animated movies, which is certainly unfortunate given school is coming to an end soon. The good news is that Netflix will remain home to all six seasons of How to Train Your Dragon: Race to the Edge as well as both seasons of How to Train Your Dragons: Rescue Riders, and 2025’s live-action How to Train Your Dragon film, so there will continue to be plenty of options for fans of the franchise.
Netflix will also be removing The Addams Family and The Addams Family 2 in May, meaning there is no time like the present to watch the classic Addams Family films. May is also going to see the removal of the cult classic Crossroads this month, meaning there is no time like the present to enjoy the Britney Spears-led film from Shonda Rhimes.
There are a few shows leaving Netflix in May as well, though there thankfully aren’t any massive removals coming over the course of the month. The most notable removals on the TV front are all four seasons of Documentary Now, both seasons of Bryan Cranston’s hit drama Your Honor, and all three seasons of Blue Mountain State.
