Welcome back to your weekly roundup of everything new on Netflix US! As we approach the end of May, Netflix has delivered another massive haul of 31 new releases (14 movies and 17 series) to keep your watchlists overflowing. Below, we’ll pick out our favorite new additions and break down what’s been dominating the Netflix Top 10 charts for Memorial Day Weekend 2026.

Whether you’re looking for blockbuster sci-fi, brand-new stand-up comedy, or a massive injection of historical docu-series (thanks to a huge licensing drop that includes Abraham Lincoln, FDR, Grant, and Theodore Roosevelt), it’s been a stellar week for the streaming service.

Looking ahead to the final week of the month, you’ve got titles like the new seasons of The Four Seasons to look forward to and this week, we also got a full preview of what’s to come throughout June

Before we dive into the top 10 data to see what subscribers are actually watching, here are our three streaming highlights for the week:

Best New Movies and Shows on Netflix This Week

Ferrari (2023)

Type: Movie
Genre: Drama, Biography | Runtime: 2h 10m

Note: Arrives on Netflix tomorrow, Sunday, May 24th!

We’re cheating a little bit here by including a movie that hasn’t technically dropped yet, but we couldn’t ignore it! Arriving tomorrow is Michael Mann’s sweeping biographical drama Ferrari. Coming to Netflix as part of the ongoing NEON output deal, the film stars Adam Driver as Enzo Ferrari during the summer of 1957 as bankruptcy looms over his company and his tempestuous marriage with his wife Laura (Penélope Cruz) fractures.

For some reason, I recall this movie being quite controversial upon its initial release, although looking through the reviews now, it wasn’t that, but rather some of the controversy surrounding its box office and NEON’s handling of the film. Either way, that’s hardly relevant with the reviews still holding up strong. It’s a gorgeous, high-octane drama that makes for perfect Sunday and Memorial Day viewing.

Nope (2022)

Type: Movie
Genre: Sci-Fi, Horror | Runtime: 2h 10m

Jordan Peele’s spectacular sci-fi horror epic has officially landed on Netflix. Starring Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer as sibling horse trainers in California who discover something truly otherworldly lurking in the clouds above their ranch. If you missed this one in theaters, it’s an absolute must-watch—queue it up tonight with the biggest screen and best sound system you have available. Is it Peele’s best film? Probably not, but it’s another absolute gem.

The Boroughs (Season 1)
Type: TV Series
Genre: Sci-Fi, Mystery

If you’re desperately waiting for the final season of Stranger Things, Netflix is hoping to fill that void with The Boroughs. Executive produced by the Duffer Brothers themselves, this brand-new sci-fi original follows a group of unlikely heroes in a picturesque New Mexico retirement community who must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have: time.

It must be said the series has gotten off to an incredibly slow start in the top 10s, so if the creators’ three-season plan is to come to fruition, Netflix will be hoping for a big uplift throughout the weekend.
